Manchester United are now firm favourites to complete a transfer for Jadon Sancho with the Borussia Dortmund preferring a move to Old Trafford over Chelsea and Real Madrid despite their ongoing struggles under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
The 19-year-old is set to leave the Bundesliga in the summer with the Red Devils leading the race for his signature.
Sancho is one of Solskjaer’s top transfer targets as he looks to continue his squad overhaul.
United have also been linked with Leicester midfielder James Maddison and Aston Villa ace Jack Grealish.
Chelsea remain interesting after agreeing a £40m deal for Ajax star Hakim Ziyech and Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane is a known admirer.
Sancho has been in sensational form this season, netting 15 goals and providing 19 assists in all competitions.
United are now convinced they can complete a deal for the teenager even if they fail to qualify for the Champions League.
The reports claim the Red Devils have already made inroads into getting an agreement over the line for Sancho.
